In new releases from PGGB Members and Partners this week, we're highlighting the World War II epic Blitz, written and directed by Academy and BAFTA Award-winner Steve McQueen.
A tale of resilience and humanity in the face of adversity, the story follows newcomer Elliott Heffernan as 9-year-old George who alights the train when sent to the safety of the countryside determind to go back to his home in London. His mother Rita, played by Saoirse Ronan, is left distraught as she desperately searches for her missing son.
The world premiere of the film opened this year's BFI London Film Festival and is in select cinemas from today, before it arrives on Apple TV+ 22nd November.
Also released this week is the return of political drama The Diplomat. Series two picks up right where the first series left off, with US Ambassador to the UK Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) trying to pull the threads on the conspiracy that could have made her a widow.
Find out who survived the major finale explosion and where Kate’s relationships go from here on Netflix now.
Finally, in television is a moving story about 74-year-old Barry, an exuberant Hackney personality known for his dapper taste. Now in his final chapter, the closeted family man wants to end his marriage and live with his best friend Morris, with whom he has been having an affair for almost sixty years.
Adapted from the novel of the same name, Mr Loverman is available to watch on BBC One and all episodes can be streamed via BBC iPlayer.
