New Releases: Mutiny & Ludwig, Series 2

Jason Statham on the high seas and David Mitchell solving puzzles in Cambridge — our members were on both sides of this week's releases. 

First, Mutiny hits cinemas today - an action thriller following Cole Reed, a former Special Forces soldier turned private security operative, who is framed for the murder of his billionaire boss and forced to board a cargo ship on a one-man crusade to avenge his death, only to uncover a vast international conspiracy. Directed by Jean-François Richet and starring Jason Statham, Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller and Adrian Lester, this is exactly the kind of high-octane, globe-spanning thriller that Statham does better than almost anyone. Proudly a British production — and with seven Guild members right at the heart of it: Samantha Waite (Executive Producer/UPM), Kelly Lee (Unit Production Manager), Matt Longley (Financial Controller), Monique Brown (Production Manager), Mark Jackson (Production Accountant: UK Shoot & Wrap), Lita O'Sullivan (Production Accountant, temp) and Stephen Mintoff (Production Coordinator). 

And on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from Ludwig Series 2 returns - with master puzzle-setter John 'Ludwig' Taylor now an official Crime Scene Consultant for the Cambridge Police Authority, working alongside DCI Russell Carter on seemingly impossible crimes. No longer having to masquerade as his missing twin brother, John is openly more 'Ludwig' than ever — brilliant at solving puzzles but hopeless at everything else. New cast additions include Mark Bonnar, Sian Clifford, Ben Ashenden and Rumi Sutton, with the series landing on BritBox in North America from 13th October. Guild member Frances Mable served as Line Producer on this brilliantly warm and witty returning series.
