Beetlejuice Beetlejuice & More

Fri 6th Sep 2024

In new releases from PGGB Members and Partners this week, we're highlighting the sequel of an iconic comedy horror film directed by Tim Burton.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice sees three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River after an unexpected family tragedy. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life soon gets turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter discovers a mysterious portal to the afterlife.

Someone must have said Beetlejuice's name three times, because the mischievous demon gleefully returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem in cinemas today.

A new film starring Matt Smith as an archaeologist finds that dark and sinister forces have invaded his home as he investigates a mythic folklore about an ancient oak tree on his land. His idyllic rural family life is thrown into turmoil when his son starts acting out of character. The horror, Starve Acre releases in cinemas today.

Also in film, Katherine Parr (Alicia Vikander), the sixth wife of King Henry VIII (Jude Law), is named regent while the tyrant battles abroad. When the king returns, increasingly ill and paranoid, Katherine finds herself fighting for her own survival. The British period drama Firebrand, is available to watch in cinemas now.

Finally, in television quick-witted spy drama following a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents—and their obnoxious boss, the notorious Jackson Lamb—as they navigate the espionage world’s smoke and mirrors returns to the small screen. Series four of Slow Horses landed on Apple TV+ earlier this week, with the remaining five episodes to be released weekly until the finale drops on Wednesday 2nd October.

Take an in-depth look at which Members and Partners worked on these productions below.
