In new releases this week, we’re highlighting the Paramount+ crime thriller series MobLand, which revolves around two warring London crime families and stars Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the 10-part season is set and filmed in London and the Cotswolds.

New in film this week is the biopic Mr Burton about the early life of Welsh actor Richard Burton and his teacher, Philip Burton, played by Toby Jones, who inspired and encouraged him.
PGGB Member Kathy Nettleship worked on the production as Line Producer, alongside PGGB Partners and Affiliates TPH Global, Compass Travel Management, Creative Wales, SetKeeper, Facilities by ADF, Audiolink and Sunbelt Rentals.
Also new in cinemas this week is the coming-of-age film Last Swim about an Iranian-British teen in London who struggles with a major life decision while hanging out with friends across the city. The film premiered at the 2024 Berlin International Film Festival and is now in UK cinemas.

Also new this week is the drama film Sebastian, about a 25-year-old aspiring writer living in London who begins a double life as a sex worker in order to research his debut novel. The film, which was shot in London and Glasgow, had its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and is in UK cinemas from 4th April.

Finally, the feature documentary War Paint: Women at War is new in cinemas this week. Directed by Margy Kinmonth, the film shines a light on the trailblazing role of women war artists.

Farnborough International Studios – The studios were the unit base for Mobland in February whilst shooting took place in the local area at Overton Papermill Basingstoke, Wind Tunnels and a hangar at Farnborough Airport.
