In new releases this week, we’re highlighting the historical drama Hamnet, directed by Chloé Zhao and starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal as Agnes and William Shakespeare. The film tells the powerful story of love and loss that inspired the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece Hamlet. Primarily filmed across Herefordshire, the drama film is now in UK cinemas.

Also new this week is the post-apocalyptic horror film 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, the fourth instalment in the 28 Days Later series. Starring Ralph Fiennes and mainly filmed in the North of England, the zombie horror film is now in UK cinemas.

New in TV this week is season two of The Night Manager, starring Tom Hiddleston as a former British intelligence operative, whose past catches up with him. The new season is now available on BBC iPlayer in the UK.

New on Disney+ is the second season of the historical drama series A Thousand Blows, following Hezekiah Moscow, now a shadow of the man he once was, and Sugar Goodson, estranged from his family and drinking himself to death.

And finally, new on ITV this week is season two of Red Eye. The thriller series follows a London detective and her investigations in conjunction with MI5.
