New Releases: A Good Girl's Guide to Murder 2 & My Mother's Wedding

A murder mystery in the English countryside and a wedding in disarray — our members had quite the week!

First, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder Series 2 premiered on Wednesday, with all six episodes dropping simultaneously on BBC Three, BBC iPlayer and Netflix globally. After solving the Andie Bell case, Pip Fitz-Amobi is determined to stay away from any more investigations — but when key witness Jamie Reynolds suddenly disappears as Max Hastings' trial approaches, she finds herself in a race against time to find him before it's too late. Four Guild members were central to the production — and proudly part of our Bristol & South West community: Frith Tiplady (Executive Producer), Sophie MacClancy (Producer), Isabel Chick (Production Accountant) and Madeleine Hall (Location Manager). And then, into cinemas for something altogether more chaotic. My Mother's Wedding marks the directorial debut of BAFTA-winning actress Kristin Scott Thomas, inspired by her own family history. Three sisters from very different walks of life return to their childhood home to celebrate the third wedding of their twice-widowed mother — and as the weekend unfolds, buried secrets, tough choices and a very colourful cast of wedding guests ensure nothing goes quite to plan. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, Emily Beecham and Freida Pinto — and with three Guild members right at the heart of it: Caroline Levy (Executive Producer), Rachel Donkor (Financial Controller) and Charlie Doult (1st Assistant Accountant).
