We are delighted to announce that fundraising at this year's The Production Guild of Great Britain Awards, doubled during Big Give Week, totalled a fantastic £20,000 for MAMA Youth Project.
MAMA Youth Project works to equip young people aged 18-25 with the skills and experience to secure long-term, fulfilling employment in the TV and media industry, with particular focus on young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with limited educational or employment opportunities.
PGGB has had a long relationship with the brilliant organisation. As well as making a similar donation in 2022, we have worked together on talent initiatives and their fantastic alumni have supported us at events for many years.
Lyndsay Duthie, PGGB CEO said “MAMA Youth Project’s work is so important, giving those that may not have the opportunity to see and believe there is a career path for them in the television industry. Their talent development scheme really is just that, it showcases talent – and encourages industry to hire from outside of their usual contacts books. From us all at The Production Guild of Great Britain – MAMA Youth, you are brilliant, please keep doing what you are doing you are making a difference. We hope this small contribution helps.”
The money was raised in the raffle and auction at this year's Awards. A huge thank you to PGGB Partners and Affiliates MBS Equipment Co., Warner Bros. Your support has been incredible.
