In new releases from this week, there’s a stylish new thriller on Apple TV+, the latest from storied British director Mike Leigh, the return of a hugely successful Scottish drama to Amazon Prime Video, and more!
First up, Leo Woodall stars as a maths prodigy hunted by shadowy forces in Prime Target, new this week at Apple TV+. Also in television, January saw the return of much-loved Scottish thriller The Rig for a second season on Amazon. PGGB Members Jamie Lee Aird, Kathleen Lambie and Michaela McCaffrey worked on the series, alongside Partners TPH Global, Entertainment Partners and Team Engine.
On Channel 4, York-set crime drama Patience follows police archivist Patience Evans, a young autistic woman with an instinctive eye for crime scenes. PGGB Member Nigel Mattison was Post-Production Coordinator, with Partners and Affiliates TPH Global,
Moving Picture Logistics Ltd and Team Engine also involved.
In film, this week sees the return of much-loved British director Mike Leigh, with his latest exploration of UK culture, Hard Truths, starring Marianne Jean-Baptiste. The film is in cinemas now, and PGGB Member Rachel Proudlove and PartnerFilmFixer worked on the production.
Finally in film, there’s a new version epic historical of William Tell, written and directed by Nick Hamm. PGGB Members Piers Tempest, Tim Field and Mark Huffam worked on the production.
