In new releases from PGGB Members and Partners this week, we're highlighting a new superhero film based on the Marvel Comics, Deadpool & Wolverine.
The Time Variance Authority (TVA) pulls Deadpool from his quiet life and sets him on a mission to save his universe, colliding with a Wolverine from another universe in the process. Wolverine is recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth Deadpool. They team up to defeat a common enemy.
Deadpool & Wolverine serves as a crossover between the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the X-Men film series, with Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and numerous others reprising their roles from that film series. The 34th film in the MCU is out in cinemas now.
In television, Bath-based detective drama McDonald & Dodds returns to ITV for a fourth series. The latest instalment will see Jason Watkins and Tala Gouveia step back into their roles as DCI Lauren McDonald and DS Dodds.
Also making a comeback this series is Outnumbered star Claire Skinner, who portrays Chief Superintendent Ormond. The new series will consist of three feature-length episodes, each focusing on a different mystery.
