Amandaland & More

In new releases from this week, we’re focusing on a brand-new Merman-produced BBC comedy from Sharon Horgan. Amandaland, a spin-off from Horgan’s earlier hit Motherland, follows unbearable snob Amanda (Lucy Punch), who has had to downsize after her divorce. PGGB Members Richard Hyland and Dougal Mackenzie Smith worked on the London-filmed series, alongside Partners and Affiliates SK Media Rooms, The Base Camp Co, Facilities by ADF, Media Insurance Brokers Ltd, Sara Putt Associates, TPH Global, Team Engine and Digital Orchard.

Also in television, there’s a new series of the BBC pitch-black comedy-thriller Am I Being Unreasonable?, written by and starring Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli. PGGB Members Joseba Arraubarrena and Madeleine Hall worked on the production, with Partners and Affiliates 6ft From The Spotlight, Sara Putt Associates, Universal Production Services, Location One, Mission Digital, Location Safety, Chapters, Bristol Television and Film Services and The Bottle Yard Studios also involved.

Finally, this week sees the return of BBC’s long-running comedy drama Death in Paradise for a fourteenth season, filmed in the French Caribbean. PGGB Members Dan Cleland and Jez Marshall worked on the series, alongside Partners and Affiliates Tysers, 6ft From The Spotlight, Sara Putt Associates and Spotlight Studios.
