In new releases this week, we’re highlighting 28 Years Later, the third instalment in the 28 Days Later film series. Starring Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes, the post-apocalyptic horror film follows a group of rage virus survivors who have to leave their safe island to undertake a mission on the mainland. Predominantly filmed in the north of England, including Northumberland, Yorkshire, Durham & Tyne and Wear, 28 Years Later arrives in UK cinemas this week.

New in TV this week is the second season of the period drama The Buccaneers. The Apple TV+ series follows a group of young, wealthy women from the US who are looking for husbands in London, sparking an Anglo-American culture clash.
