Course Overview:
Training participants will:

Gain clear insight and understanding of the role and responsibilities of the Production Manager.
Be tutored and guided by experienced and established figures in Production Management.
Benefit from mentorship and guidance from both tutors, the Production Guild and their peers.
On completion of the course trainees will be offered a courtesy six-month Alumni Membership to the Production Guild.

This course is recommended for:

Junior Production Managers who have held this position for at least two full show credits or Production Coordinators who have held at least three full show credits, who are ready to step up into the role of production manager.
Production Managers who have recently stepped up and wish to expand their knowledge base.
It would also be appropriate for experienced production professionals seeking to use their existing knowledge to transition to production management, including: Location Managers, 1st and 2nd Assistant Directors, Production Accountants and Post Production Supervisors.

What the course covers:

This training scheme will build upon existing knowledge with newly acquired skills, and will cover:

The role and responsibilities of the Production Manager including scheduling and budgeting (using MMS/MMB)
Organising the production office
Post Production and VFX
Negotiation, recruitment, inclusion and accessibility
Safeguarding, discrimination, harassment and bullying
Mental Health Awareness
Leadership, management and communication
US Unions- SAG/DGA
