Under the brand name ACCESS: VFX UK Screen Alliance have partnered with The Mill, Framestore, Double Negative, MPC, Jellyfish Pictures, ILM, Blue Zoo Animation, Union VFX, Escape Studios, Escape Technology and a range of training suppliers, speakers and trailblazers to design a week of events, workshops, screenings and panel discussions, all in the name of promoting better inclusion and increased diversity within the VFX industry and wider creative sector.
The workshops and events are open to all staff and clients across the industry, with events happening at multiple VFX studios, including the BFI Southbank and The Lion & Unicorn Theatre in Kentish Town.
In addition to the jam-packed schedule, the organisations are running a careers day and mentoring programme for 15-18-year-old students from diverse areas of London and the current VFX apprentice intake will be running a day-long takeover event for young job-seekers over at Escape Studios.
