A dual British/Australian, Jessie Drake Mangum is a BIFA nominated producer whose credits include the feature LOOTED (Film London/ BBC Film/ BFI), FIPRESCI winner and 2021 BIFA Award nominee. Other producing credits include Associate Producer on Sundance title INTRODUCING THE DWIGHTS, and Co-producer of Julien Temple’s THE ETERNITY MAN (Rose D’or winner). Most recently she was Associate Producer/ Production Consultant for the feature THE MIRACLE CLUB produced by Zephyr Films and starring Maggie Smith, Kathy Bates and Laura Linney. Key responsibilities in that role included financial closing, negotiating Pact/Equity agreements, script coordinating and VFX/post-production pathways.
Jessie spent five years in-house at prolific Australian film and HETV production company Goalpost Pictures where she worked her way to becoming a hands on physical producer by undertaking various roles including Producer’s Assistant, 3rd AD, Production Secretary, Production Coordinator, Production Manager, Music Supervisor, Archive Researcher, Script Coordinator and Post-production Supervisor. For funding bodies including Screen Australia she has been a Script Editor and Development Assessor, and for sales agent Goalpost Film UK she worked in acquisitions and marketing on titles including THE SAPPHIRES, THE ESCAPIST and THE TRIP series, which premiered at Cannes, Sundance and TIFF respectively.
Production Credits
(I was brought on in prep as a Production Consultant to work on financial closing, working with the Producer, Line Producer, Production Manager, Co-producers, Production Accountant, and coordinating between them and the Bond company, insurance company, gap and tax credit lenders, soft financiers, sales agent and UK distributor, and their respective legal teams. After the film closed, I was kept on to work with the production team, negotiating cast and crew contracts and other legals, working on VFX requirements and post-production pathways, as well as general production requirements (clearances, 2nd Unit, music, archive). )
