Kate Larking is a freelance Line Producer based in Greater Manchester. Line producing credits include A Woman of Substance for The Forge/ Channel 4, Floodlights for Expectation/ BBC, Ridley Road for Red/ BBC, Get Even for BBC/ Netflix, documentary feature Irene’s Ghost (BFI/ Creative England), Creeped Out 2 for CBBC/ DHX Canada/ Netflix, the Bafta-nominated Rocket’s Island (CBBC/Lime) and the microbudget feature FreeFall for Warp X. Production Manager credits: The War of the Worlds and The City and The City for Mammoth/ BBC, Utopia 2 for Kudos/ Channel 4, the BAFTA-winning This is England 88 and Ben Wheatley's highly acclaimed feature Kill List for Warp Films.
She was Head of Production at Duck Soup Films from 2022 - 2025, overseeing the critically-acclaimed Lost Boys & Fairies for BBC 1 (5 x Bafta Cymru awards, 4 x Bafta Nominations, International Emmy-Nominated) and Dreamers for Channel 4. She was Head of Production for Infinite Wisdom Studios/ Threewise Entertainment from 2021-2022.
Kate also taught producing at the Northern Film School, Leeds Beckett University, Production Management at Salford University and screenwriting at The University of York.
Kate was Production Supervisor then Head of Distribution and Marketing at Warp Films from 2006-2010, managing the releases of Shane Meadows’ Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee, Jonathan Caouette’s All Tomorrow’s Parties and Harmony Korine’s Trash Humpers.
She produced the short film Mum (Writer/ Director: Anne-Marie O’Connor) which premiered at BFI Flare Film Festival in 2017 and screened across the world including at Edinburgh International Film Festival and Galway Film Fleadh.
