Role Purpose + Description
We are looking to recruit an energetic and driven individual for the role of Industry Progression Manager at LSA who can communicate the ambitious and exciting goals of LSA to the creative industry. This unique role requires an individual who can forge strong relationships within the creative industries to generate mentoring and work experience opportunities for LSA students in order to ensure they graduate from LSA ‘work ready’. Candidates for this role should also have an awareness of the progression pathways available to LSA students, including higher education establishments.
Role Responsibilities
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with industry professionals and organisations to support student progression into the creative industries.
Manage the LSA Work Experience Programme to develop sufficient industry work experience opportunities to ensure that all students participate in work experience over the two-year course
Manage the LSA Mentor Programme, recruiting industry professionals from all sectors of the creative industries and carefully matching them with student mentees who qualify for the programme.
Develop productive relationships with Higher & Further Education providers and in collaboration with pastoral leads develop an effective programme to communicate HE & FE opportunities and guidance to students (UCAS, Employability events, etc)
Effectively communicate the Mentor and Work Experience Programmes to LSA students and staff to maximise engagement in both programmes
Record student engagement in the LSA work experience and mentoring programmes and monitor the impact of these programmes on student outcomes
Oversee the practical and administrative tasks associated with the Mentor & Work Experience Programmes.

Experience Required:
Creative Industry experience
Experience of working with young people (Desirable)
Knowledge of progression routes and opportunities for young people within the creative industries
