As the Financial Controller for Account to Report (Capex) within the Global Finance Operations team, you will be a key part of the A2R Leadership team, working with the Head of Finance and Senior Finance Manager to deliver both the operational and strategic objectives of the department.
What you’ll do:
Lead a team of up to 5 individuals, providing day to day operational leadership as well as leading the wider objectives of the team and the development support required to help the team (and those within it) prosper
Partner with Commercial Finance & Outsource teams to create robust and lasting relationships
Owning the performance of the Capex Delivery function at Sky, maintaining world class performance on key metrics for your area
Work closely with the GPO design team and Cable to identify potential significant transformation improvements and to ensure robust and standardised processes are set up
Lead on Continuous Improvement initiatives for your business area
Lead the escalations process between Sky key internal Stakeholders and Sky Outsource Partners for your business area
Liaising with a wide network of Stakeholders, ensuring that they are provided with relevant, timely and accurate information which informs and directs business decisions.
Own and be accountable for maintaining a strong, robust and well-designed control environment as well as being the first point of contact for both internal and external audit assignments covering your A2R function.
Be able to deputise for the Head of Finance / Senior Finance Manager when appropriate.
What you’ll bring:
Experience of direct line management.
Proven record of delivery, particularly of insightful and value adding analysis to customers.
Excellent communication skills, with experience of addressing Senior Partners and building strong, long-lasting relationships with them.
Strong IT skills, particularly using Excel and PowerPoint. Experience of using SAP.
A self-starter demeanour, relying less on direction and more on personal initiative.
A flexible individual, who is open to occasional travel if required
Experience of managing/leading projects in a large organisation, with cross functional inputs.
