Heyday is an independent, award-winning production company, run by producer David Heyman. Founded in 1996, Heyday has produced Academy Award® winning films, Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuaron, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney; Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood, directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Al Pacino; Marriage Story, directed by Noah Baumbach and starring Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson and Laura Dern; and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
Heyman also produced all eight film adaptations of J.K Rowling’s hugely successful Harry Potter books as well as the three Fantastic Beasts films.
His other film credits include the two Paul King-directed Paddington films based on Michael Bond’s beloved books, the first of which starred Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, and featuring Nicole Kidman; the sequel, which reunited Bonneville, Hawkins and Walters and featured Hugh Grant and Brendan Gleeson; Noah Baumbach’s acclaimed 2022 adaptation of Don DeLillo’s White Noise, starring Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig; and Paul King’s Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet.
Heyman is currently in post-production on Taika Waititi's adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguru's Klara and the Sun, starring Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams; as well as Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly, starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler.
Heyday Television is a co-venture agreement with Universal International Studios, which is part of Universal Studio Group. The two companies had previously collaborated on the Worricker trilogy of British Intelligence dramas starring Bill Nighy, Ralph Fiennes, Rachel Weisz, Christopher Walken, Helena Bonham Carter and Winona Ryder, written and directed by David Hare for BBC Two.
Under this agreement, Heyday has produced two seasons of the BAFTA-nominated series The Capture created and written by Ben Chanan starring Holliday Grainger, Callum Turner and Paapa Essiedu; the RTS award-winning The Long Song, based on Andrea Levy’s novel of the same name, written by Sarah Williams and starring Tamara Lawrance, Hayley Atwell, Jack Lowden and Sir Lenny Henry; AACTA award-winning Clickbait, created and written by Tony Ayres, starring Zoe Kazan, Betty Gabriel and Adrian Grenier which was the number one rated show on Netflix in 30 countries and APPLES NEVER FALL based on Liane Moriarty’s best-selling novel, written by Melanie Marnich, and starring Annette Bening, Sam Neill, Jake Lacy and Alison Brie.
Currently Heyday is filming the third season of The Capture, written by Ben Chanan, directed by Anthony Philipson and starring Holliday Grainger, Killian Scott and Joe Dempsie.
