Ali James moved into the role of Production Manager a few years ago, having come up through Locations in the preceding twenty years. Ali started out as Location Assistant, before becoming a Unit Manager, Assistant Location Manager, Location Manager and finally Supervising Location Manager. During time in the Locations Department, Ali worked tirelessly on well-loved productions including Steven Spielberg’s Munich and Ready Player One, Mamma Mia!, Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes, Marvel’s Captain America, the 24th James Bond feature Spectre, Sam Mendes’ 1917 and Cruella, amongst many others. As a Production Manager, Ali has worked with The Gray Man (starring Ryan Gosling), the 2nd instalment of the Enola Holmes series and Netflix’s Lift, starring Kevin Hart.
Ali brings a wealth of experience to the lucky Mentee that will be under tutelage, having supported up-and-coming talent in the past on Locations courses.
