BAFTA announced the winners of the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards last night, during an award ceremony at The Royal Festival Hall in London. We were particularly delighted to see four productions worked on by PGGB Members amongst the winners: Conclave, Wicked, Dune: Part Two, and Kneecap.
Edward Berger’s tense papal election thriller Conclave starring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, and Isabella Rossellini won four BAFTAs last night: Best Film; Outstanding British Film, Adapted Screenplay and Editing. Three PGGB Members worked on the production: John Gillett as UK Production Accountant, Alice Dawson as Producer, and Gareth Jones as Financial Controller.
The epic fantasy musical Wicked starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo won two categories: Costume Design and Production Design. Several PGGB Members were involved in the production: Jon Duncan as Financial Controller, Owen Keys as Production Accountant, Miranda Marks as Production Manager, Tom Reed as Payroll Supervisor, Rajneet Jabbal as AP Supervisor, Julia Hutchison as Payroll Accountant, and Nav Lotay as Payroll Accountant.
Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi blockbuster Dune: Part Two starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya won two categories: Special Visual Effects and Sound. Seven PGGB Members worked on the production: Julia Valentine as Head of Production, Darren Chesney as Production Manager, Giles Barnett as Production Accountant, Bettina Lyster as Production Supervisor, Viktoria Havel as Production Coordinator, Fraser Grant as Production Accountant, and Matt Blain as Location Accountant.
Written and directed by Rich Peppiatt, the Irish-language comedy-drama Kneecap won Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer. PGGB Members Lisa Service, Lisa Curry, and Liam O'Connor contributed to the production as Associate Producer/Production Manager, Post-Production Manager, and Production Accountant, respectively.
