Sue Quinn's impressive career, including work on iconic productions like Watchmen, Notting Hill, Love Actually, and the Harry Potter series, truly showcases her immense talent and dedication to the industry.
In Sue’s speech she was keen to thank the Location Managers who had worked in her teams over the years, including fellow PGGB members Mark Somner, Aurelia Thomas and in Sue’s own words "the shining light that is Georgette Turner". Sue went on to acknowledge all of those within the department that always get forgotten, including Charlie Pigram of Spotless Locations "who has made every location shine on camera" and to Spike Davies and Tony Denham at the The Movie Lot "for always keeping the team safe."
PGGB Board Member Georgette Turner was in attendance at the Awards, calling it "a truly memorable evening celebrating the creative contributions of location professionals in film, television, commercials, and film commissions from around the world."
She also added "special congratulations to my mentor and great friend Sue Quinn for winning the life time achievement award."
Lynn Saunders, Vice-Chair of PGGB's North West Committee and Manager of Liverpool Film Office was also there to see Sue collect here Award, adding: "It was an honour and a privilege to see Sue Quinn receive the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award from LMGI in recognition of her dedication to grounding thrilling stories in unforgettable landscapes and her extraordinary impact on location professionals around the world. Her acceptance speech was eloquent, humble, gracious and honest… just like Sue."
