Last Saturday, the Producers Guild of America announced the winners of the 2025 PGA Awards during a star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles, celebrating the work and achievements of producers. We were particularly delighted to see two productions worked on by PGGB Members amongst the winners: Shōgun and Baby Reindeer.
The historical drama series Shōgun, produced by FX Productions and DNA Films, received the ‘Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television – Drama'. Currently streaming on Disney, the series tells the story of a mysterious European ship found marooned in 1600s Japan. PGGB Members Tim Lyall and Clare Cunningham contributed to the production as Unit Production Manager and Financial Controller, respectively.
Scottish comedian Richard Gadd's autobiographical mini-series Baby Reindeer was awarded the ‘David L. Wolper Award for Outstanding Producer of Limited or Anthology Series Television’. The black comedy-drama thriller, produced by Clerkenwell Films and currently streaming on Netflix, explores Gadd's relationship with a female stalker. PGGB Members Sairh Sheikh and Mark Stopher worked on the production as Production Accountant and Production Manager, respectively.
