In new releases from PGGB Members and Partners this week, we're highlighting Lucasfilm's latest addition to the Star Wars universe with the arrival of The Acolyte on Disney+. In an age of light, a darkness rises, with the series set a hundred years before the rise of the Empire, the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic have prospered for centuries without war. During this time, an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a Jedi Master against a dangerous warrior from his past.
Also in television, Dionne Brown stars as Queenie Jenkins, a 25-year-old Jamaican British woman living in south London, living in between two cultures and entering neatly into neither. After a messy breakup with her long-term boyfriend, she seeks comfort in all the wrong places and begins to realise she has to face the past head-on before she can rebuild. Based on the bestselling novel by Candice Carty-Williams, watch brand-new drama Queenie on Channel 4 or stream via Hulu.
Finally, in Lost Boys and Fairies Gabriel and his partner Andy adopt a child, but Gabriel has a history and he will need to embark upon a journey of self-discovery and attempt to repair his relationship with his dad before he can truly begin to parent 7-year old Jake. The three-part mini series filmed in Wales is available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.
