The Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) is looking for an all-rounder with experience managing key relationships internally and externally to support the business development partnership activities from approach through to onboarding and client management. The ideal candidate should be able to able to demonstrate a strong organisational approach and attention to detail in organising PGGB events throughout the year for members, partners and stakeholders.
A passion for film and TV is a plus, as well as being a motivated self-starter able to cope with a diverse and varied workload.
Responsible to: Business Development & Events Executive
Normal Hours: 9:30am-6pm, Monday – Friday with occasional weekend and evening work. Hybrid working; working from home Monday’s & Friday with office-based Tues-Thurs.
Postholder to be flexible to work outside of office hours, where required.
Place of work: PGGB’s offices are Building 6, Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden Park, Hercules Way, Hertfordshire, WD25 7GS.
Salary: £29,000 Per Annum
The Production Guild of Great Britain represents the professional interests of film and high-end television drama industry production practitioners. Our 1,000+ strong membership work at all levels in the production office, production accounts, location management, assistant directing, post production and VFX.
Role Responsibilities
Business Development
- To support the Business Development and Event executive to respond to all business development enquiries and promote the benefits of partnership across the industry.
- To coordinate the application process of platinum, business, affiliate and supporter partners.
- Assist the Business Development & Events Executive on signing up new partners to meet business targets.
- To provide excellent administrative support to the Business Development & Events Executive and to maintain the latest data about partners and contacts on the company CRM and online platforms.
- To cross support the work of the Business Development department with other PGGB departments and specifically Marketing & Comms, to accurately promote partner information and updates in a timely way.
- To assist with annual invoicing and financial administration as required.
Events
- Work with line manager and all PGGB departments to prepare budgets, set deadlines, create concepts, identify objectives that organise and deliver all PGGB’s events throughout the year.
- Implementing budget, invoicing and logistics
- To oversee a programme of masterclasses, working with our partners and experts across the industry to provide a programme of events that add value to our membership/partnerships.
- Oversee national and regional committee events from planning to delivery
- To support with the organisation of the annual Talent Showcase event liaising with sponsors, venue, catering, speakers and guests to develop a successful event.
- To be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our Event Partners (hotels, venues etc) to support the best opportunities for PGGB events.
- Attend events and coordinate the wider PGGB team to represent the business.
- Collate information about attendance at events and log in Salesforce.
- To assist with the organisation of the bi-annual PGGB awards
Experience and Personal Qualities
Essential:
- Exceptional administrative experience
- Experience of IT systems and software including Eventbrite, Microsoft 365 & Salesforce
- Proven ability in maintaining relationships with partners and stakeholders
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Flexibility and a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise and perform to a high standard under pressure and working to deadlines
- Ability to use initiative and work proactively to identify improvements and opportunities
Desirable:
- Experience of organising events for 25-500 attendees.
- Experience and interest in the UK Film & TV production industry.
