Alex is an award-winning Film and TV producer specialising in international production, with extensive experience working with the USA, Germany and Japan. He is a voting member of BAFTA, the European Film Academy (EFA), the Producers Guild of America (PGA), and the Television Academy (Emmy’s).

Alex recently produced 2 seasons of the (HBO) Max crime drama series Tokyo Vice starring Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe, the first international series to film entirely in Japan.

Past productions frequently combine the best of the UK with the rest of the world: Terrence Malick’s The Way of the Wind, starring Sir Ben Kingsley and Sir Mark Rylance; The Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler’s Netflix fantasy/ adventure series Cursed; and Sense8, the ground-breaking Netflix series from the Wachowskis, for which he was nominated for a Producers Guild of America Award.

Cloud Atlas starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry; the feature documentary Pulp, a Film About Life, Death & Supermarkets, which opened Sheffield DocFest; three films for the Scandi-Noir film anthology Intrigo; and the Fantasporto Festival award-winning thriller The Holding.

Alex is a board member and the former Chair of PGGB as well as a DIAG member and mentor. He is a Board Member and Mentor at Stowe Story Labs (Vermont, USA) and supports various charities, including the Woolf Institute. He enjoys sports, yoga, languages and travel – whenever he can!
