With over 30 years’ experience developing and promoting the screen sector in the UK, primarily in the Northwest of England, Lynn Saunders has led the strategic development of Liverpool Film Office since 2000 and is responsible for developing a thriving production hub and making Liverpool the most filmed city out of London. The highly regarded Liverpool Film Office service has attracted over £100m inward investment into the regional economy including feature films and HETV productions such as ‘The Batman’, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’, ‘Fast and Furious 6’, ‘Captain America First Avenger’, ‘Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit’ and all six series of the BBC’s Peaky Blinders.
Lynn is also responsible for evidencing the need for and managing the delivery of the successful LCR Production Fund, which has invested in titles including BBC’s Time and The Responder, Channel 4’s Help and ITV’s The Ipcress Files. She has lobbied for, designed and now manages The Depot, the recently opened 40,000 sq ft purpose built HETV studio initiative which has attracted a US streamer as its first long term tenant. Lynn is currently leading on several key strategic initiatives to further evolve the screen eco-system with partners, stakeholders and clients to attract investment, create jobs, build social value and support the development of skills to develop a fair, inclusive and diverse workforce in Liverpool City Region and across the Northwest and North of England.
