A message form PGGB CEO Lyndsay Duthie on International Women's Day:
"Happy International Women’s Day to you all. I feel very honoured to be leading PGGB at such an unprecedented time in film and television history.
Our industry is amazing. We have pulled together, collaborated and found new ways of working to enable production to continue. Leading teams during a time of uncertainty is challenging, requires resilience and confidence to make decisions to enable moving forward. Since joining PGGB in August 2020, slap bang in the middle of the pandemic, we have made considerable strides here running more masterclasses and training than ever before, launched our ‘Diversity and inclusion Action Group’ and celebrated 21 years of PGGB at our Innovation Awards recognising some of our members’ outstanding achievements in film and HETV.
I really hope our industry continues to develop opportunities to retain talent, with flexible solutions for parents/carers, we have certainly seen during the pandemic innovative ways of working that could be harnessed. I had to step away from production roles, which I truly loved, to balance family life and that was a hard decision to make. My son is 17 now and I no longer have the same childcare responsibilities, but hope I can help make things better for those coming through the ranks. Together anything is possible. Here’s to us all."
