In a statement,WGA West president Meredith Stiehm said:
“Through solidarity and determination, we have ratified a contract with meaningful gains and protections for writers in every sector of our combined membership. Together we were able to accomplish what many said was impossible only six months ago.”
PGGB Deputy CEO Michael Beavan said:
"With the WGA’s overwhelming vote to ratify the negotiated deal with AMPTP overnight, our industry again takes another positive step toward a full return to film and HETV production. We hope that such positive response to many of the same concerns that SAG/AFTRA are currently negotiating over will bode well for a second successful agreement being reached as quickly as possible now."
