Our Nations and Regions lead, Talent Executive Jonny Shelton, was in Befast last month, meeting with Northern Ireland Screen among others, and we were pleased to be able to share news of the screen agency's inaugural Screen Sustainability event.
Our Head of Memberships - and Sustainability Committee lead - Amy Deegan will be in attendance at the event, taking place at Harbour Studios Belfast on Wednesday 2nd October. Come say hi if you're planning on going - you can secure your entry here.
The day after the Screen Sustainability event, PGGB Partners Performance Insurance and Sunbelt Rentals are hosting their second Creative Breakfast, following the success of the inaugural breakfast networking event in August. We'd love for as many of you to attend as possible - and you can register here. We're also delighted to welcome Sunbelt Rentals’ Jenny Clark to our Northern Ireland Committee.
In the South West, we were delighted to be able to bring in an exciting new Membership benefit. We understand the freelance work of many of our members can be aided by access to co-working spaces throughout the year, so we hugely welcomed the offer of a complimentary pass and discounted membership to The Square Club in Bristol. The Square Club is the oldest-serving private member's club in Bristol. A thriving hub of local creatives work and socialise within its walls, and we’re delighted to be able to add to our offer in the Region.
Keep your eyes peeled for an imminent announcement regarding our next reception in the South West too!
Our Yorkshire Committee was the 6th PGGB Nations and Regions Committee to be announced in 2023. We have three new committee members to welcome - PGGB Member and Financial Controller Stephen Naulls, plus James Dawson of PGGB Partner Loop Talent and PGGB Partner Sunbelt Rental's Jenny Clark too. Current Committee member and Line Producer Lynn Roberts will become our chair, and Ian Pearce of Supply 2 Location remains Vice Chair. Jonny will be meeting the Committee in Leeds on Monday 30th September to discuss next steps.
Jonny has also been having great conversations with our Scotland Committee as we look at our next reception in the coming months - well timed given the announcement of our Step Up to Production Manager Training Programme in Glasgow, taking place in-person over five days in November.
We are currently offering more regional training in November elsewhere too - learn more about our Step Up to Production Accountant Training Course in Manchester here.
We also hope the productions based in Wales and the North West enjoyed receiving our hampers for their production offices - sent with best wishes and good luck for the days ahead on camera.
13 of the jobs we posted on our Member's Jobs Board were based across the nations and regions during September. We're updating our Jobs Board constantly - check out the latest professional opportunities here.
Jonny even found time to sit on two judging panels for the RTS North West Awards, taking place in later on this year. All in a month's work!
