Facilities by ADF, the leading provider of premium serviced production facilities to the UK film and high-end television (HETV) industry, today announces that Location One, the UK's largest integrated TV and Film location service and equipment hire company, which was acquired by ADF in December 2022, has opened branches at the Group’s new operational base in Longcross, Surrey, and depot in Bridgend, South Wales.
ADF’s new five-acre operational hub at Longcross is four times the size of its previous base in Bordon, Hampshire and was built in 2022 as a response to the increased demand for the Company’s services. Location One’s new branch will offer generators, water bowsers, lighting equipment, environmentally friendly battery-stores/other renewable solutions and other capital light consumables. Location One leads its market with the ECOPOD recycling solution – enabling full reporting for food, composting, recycling, and general waste streams for productions embracing albert and similar schemes. Like Facilities by ADF, Location One is an approved Albert supplier. The site is perfectly located to serve all major studios near Longcross, including Shepperton Studios, Pinewood Studios, Leavesden Studios, and Elstree studios.
Location One’s new branch at ADF’s Bridgend depot will also provide its full range of Location Services, and employ key personnel from the local area, encouraging strong regional relationships within the Welsh Film Industry to help facilitate sales. The workspace has recently been expanded with a new 5,400 sq ft factory unit, bolstering the existing 9,000 sq ft of floor space currently available, as part of the Group’s expansion plans.
The two new branches will provide ADF and Location One with the ability to cross sell its services to the increasing number of High-end TV and video production companies with sites in the UK, as well as to deliver services in a more efficient way at a time when demand for both ADF and Location One’s products are at an all-time high. The branches will also expand Location One’s geographic reach and logistical capabilities, to ensure customers continue to receive a premium service and further accelerate ADF’s plan to become a One-Stop-Shop for Film and high-end TV production.
Marsden Proctor, Chief Executive of Facilities by ADF, commented:
“Following the successful acquisition of Location One in December, the opening of these two new branches is a further demonstration of our joint commitment to continue providing high-quality equipment and customer service levels to the growing high-end film and TV market in the UK.
“They will help to expand the community at Longcross and Bridgend, to promote significant growth opportunities for our extensive partner network and we are excited to officially welcome Location One to the sites, to continue to integrate the teams.”
Crispin Hardy, founder and CEO of Location One, commented:
“The expansion at Longcross and Bridgend will allow us to offer our complementary services to a wide breadth of production companies, creating an expanded Group offering, as investment in the UK Film and TV industry continues to accelerate at record pace. We look forward to building on our longstanding relationship with ADF and are excited about the future growth opportunities this enlarged Group will bring”.
