Callum McDougall receives three Oscar and BAFTA nominations

Thu 16th Jan 2020

Producer and PGGB member, Callum McDougall has been named a nominee in the Best Picture category at the Oscars and in the Best Film and Outstanding British Film categories at the BAFTAs for 1917. The nominations for the World War One epic follow last week’s Best Motion Picture – Drama win at the Golden Globes and a host of other nominations and accolades, including a place on the American Film Institute’s Top Ten Films of the Year. Callum’s nominations are a much deserved recognition of his skills and expertise to guide an enormously ambitious project to such successes.

Over 50 Production Guild members contributed to films that have been nominated for Oscar and BAFTA awards this year.

Nine feature films which received Oscar and BAFTA nominations were able to benefit from the expertise of Production Guild members across the accounting, production, locations, and post production departments.

The Oscar and BAFTA nominated films that PGGB members worked on were:

• 1917

• Avengers: Endgame

• Judy

• Little Women

• Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

• Only You

• The Personal History of David Copperfield

• Rocketman

• Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

We’re delighted that once again the work of so many PGGB members has contributed to the critical successes at the major awards ceremonies and we send our congratulations to them all.
