In our new releases from PGGB members and partners this week, we're highlighting the return of one of British TV's most iconic shows, Doctor Who.
Ncuti Gatwa will star as the fifteenth Doctor after he joined the Whoniverse during the 60th Anniversary special The Giggle last year. Gatwa took over from David Tennant who reprised his role as the time lord during three anniversary specials in 2023.
The long-running British science fiction series has been captivating audiences since it first began in 1963, and the new series launches on BBC iPlayer and Disney+ tomorrow (Saturday May 11).
The series will include a rendezvous with fellow 60s icons the Beatles for the second episode titled ‘The Devil’s Chord,’ as well as a new companion Ruby Sunday, portrayed by Millie Gibson.
In TV this week, a group of podcasters set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in an idyllic Irish town in Bodkin, on Netflix now. When they start to pull the strings, however, they find a story much bigger and stranger than they could have imagined.
