Equity for a Green New Deal introduced their Green Rider - a contractual tool designed to empower artists and productions to work together for greener and fairer practices.
Backed by some of the biggest names on screen, Equity’s Green Rider aims to create connection and foster dialogue about climate solutions across departments. In front of and behind the camera, we all have a part to play in tackling the climate emergency and restoring health to our world.
The campaign's creators presented how the Rider can be an opportunity for cultural change - where status is measured in positive influence rather than climate-damaging perks. Art and culture have historically played a vital role in leading societal shifts. At this pivotal moment, Equity for a Green New Deal offered their vision of an industry that is inclusive, collaborative, and leaves a safer, cleaner world for future generations.
