About the Role
The role will focus on supporting the Production Executive in the monitoring of loans made to feature films and other media projects. It offers significant exposure to all of Head Gear’s partners along the entertainment value chain, with a particular focus on liaising with producers.
Applicants with production and/or sales and distribution experience will be prioritised.
Key duties / responsibilities include:
• Liaise with producers, sales agents, distributors, and other counterparties to ensure key production, post-production and delivery milestones are met
• Assist with preparation for weekly monitoring meetings with senior management to update on the status of Head Gear’s productions and gather relevant information in advance
• Assist with loan collections and weekly loan cash-flow management
• Lead on historical loan tracking and monetisation of library titles
• Ensure accurate information and documentation is recorded internally
• Build relationships with film commissions and auditors globally to ensure Head Gear is up to date with the latest government incentives
• Assist with reviewing legal agreements as needed
• Ad hoc general administration duties, as well as industry and market research
Candidate Profile Necessary skills are:
• Outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills, with demonstrable ability of dealing with multiple projects and/or large amounts of data
• A clear thinker and ability to analyse information
• Skill to interrogate the information received from counterparties
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work from own initiative in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Demonstrable problem-solving abilities
• Good all-round IT skills
Nice to haves:
• A commercial awareness of the independent film industry
• Knowledge of the entertainment value chain
• Previous experience within media sales, business affairs, or contract management
• Involvement in tracking/monitoring projects (whether in media or not).
