Ben has been in the industry for four decades, starting as in-house runner in Soho before freelancing in production, principally as Assistant Director and Producer.
He has worked all over the world, from the Himalayas to the Rocky Mountains on Feature Films, documentaries, TV Dramas, Commercials and music promos. He has worked with A-list actors, animals, children, explosives, planes and trains.
Ben founded Apis Films in 1999 as a service company that produces commercials and corporate films as well as developing original projects. As well as PGGB, he is a member of BAFTA, RTS and ADG.
"One of the joys of the business is that it attracts talent from many different backgrounds. Despite some improvements in recent years, there is still a significant under-representation of minority groups. The reasons are many and varied and a key objective is to reach out to younger people to show, despite appearances, that the industry is open and welcoming to all talented individuals, and to remove any real or perceived barriers."
