Course Overview

This course is an introduction to understanding payroll, the importance of it, timings, communication and setting up systems; it will give you the skills to effectively run a payroll.

 

What does the course include

  • Running payrolls: timing, deadlines, getting organised, finding your system.
  • Reading call sheets and progress reports (know where and what to look for)
  • Crew Deal Memos/Contracts/PAYE, Sched D, Loan out: what is and what isn’t. IR35 status.
  • Timecard and cutting timesheets exercises.
  • Payroll Bible/Spreadsheet​.
  • Draft/Variable Reports & Payroll Journal, Final Reports, Payroll Invoice.
  • TV vs Film payrolls.
  • Technical Q&A.

 

Who is the course for?

This course is aimed at Assistant Accountants wanting to move into payroll, but is open to anyone from accounts or the production office who would like to gain more knowledge of payroll.

 

This course is £150 (incl VAT) for Members and £250 for Non-Members (incl VAT).
