During this training, participants will:
- Gain clear insight and understanding of the role and responsibilities of the Production Accountant through both practical and theoretical learning
- Be tutored and guided by an experienced Financial Controller and specialist Guest Speakers
- Benefit from mentorship and guidance from their tutors, peers and The Production Guild of Great Britain
- Be eligible for a complimentary six-month Alumni Membership to The Production Guild of Great Britain
This course is recommended for:
- 1st Assistant Accountants, or equivalent level of experience, who have held this position on at least three HETV or feature films
- Production Accountants who have recently stepped up and wish to expand their knowledge base
What the course covers:
This training scheme will build upon existing knowledge with newly acquired skills, and will cover:
- The role of the Production Accountant
- VAT and tax relief
- Employment law and contracts, including IR35
- Budgeting
- Multi-currency and multi-company
- Cashflow and forecasting
- Production insurance
- Post-production accounting
- Access and inclusion
- Mental health awareness
- Leadership and conflict resolution
- Software, including Movie Magic Budgeting and SmartAccounting
