The Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) is proud to announce the following six nominees in its second annual Duke of Edinburgh Film & TV Inclusion Award, an important initiative that shines a light on the inspirational work that is helping foster and progress talent inclusion in Britain’s screen production workforce. The Award will be presented at PGGB’s Talent Showcase, hosted in association with Walt Disney Studios, at a live ceremony at The Savoy in central London on Thursday 8th February 2024.
Commenting on the nominations, Lyndsay Duthie, PGGB CEO said: “The six nominees have all demonstrated that their work has contributed to a more open, inclusive and welcoming environment to seek out and nurture new talent in our industry. The education, insight and support they are providing is invaluable. They are all an inspiration and should all be proud of the impact they are already making. I would also like to take this opportunity to say how delighted we are to have The Walt Disney Studios on board to support this important initiative.”
The Duke of Edinburgh Film & TV Inclusion Award 2023 (previously known as The Earl of Wessex Award) was first presented in January 2023 to the charity, 6ft From the Spotlight, for its work to improve mental health and wellbeing in the UK film and television production workplace.
The Walt Disney Company supports the PGGB Talent Showcase and the Duke of Edinburgh Film & TV Inclusion Award as part of its long-term commitment to build a more inclusive UK film and television industry. In addition, Disney supports and grows under-represented talent in the British production workforce via several other industry initiatives including the Star Imagine creative talent programme in partnership with the National Film and Television School (NFTS), and collaborations with the London Screen Academy and MAMA Youth Project.

Access All Areas
Access All Areas (AAA) make award-winning, disruptive performance by learning disabled and autistic artists and work to make the cultural sector more inclusive for learning disabled and autistic talent. They engage communities, train artists of the future, and work closely with TV, film and theatre companies to make their work and workplaces more accessible.
Access: VFX
Founded by Simon Devereux, a not-for-profit collective of over 40 VFX, games and animation companies across the UK who are committed to improving diversity and inclusion in the VFX landscape.
Georgette Turner
Passionate about equality, Georgette has been funding and delivering free location bootcamps to entry level trainees and Location Marshalls for the past 5 years and works to educate and train those with limited financial resources.
Million Youth Media
Million Youth Media are an organisation offering training and development to the next generation of filmmakers and under-represented talent. Passionate about changing the industry, they provide talented young people with the tools, opportunities and knowledge they need to thrive.
Resource Productions
Resource Productions is a non-profit organisation working to enable social change whilst diversifying the creative industries. Based in Slough, they focus on three core activities - outreach and engagement, training, and production. All three are designed to inspire local skills and talent development and widen access to secure sector-based training.
Screen Alliance Wales
Screen Alliance Wales, is a not-for-profit organisation committed to opening the doors to the screen industries for as many people across Wales as possible. Deeply committed to overcoming the challenge of under-representation in the sector, they aim to raise awareness of the opportunities available to young people in the film and TV industry.
The jury comprises PGGB members, partners and PGGB’s Diversity & Inclusion Action Group. The winner will be announced, and the award presented on 8th February 2024 at the second PGGB Talent Showcase at London’s Savoy Hotel. The award is presented in association with The Walt Disney Studios and is supported by Entertainment Partners.
