PGGB Announces Third Iteration of Sustainability Behind the Lens for Earth Day 2025

Tue 22nd Apr 2025

This Earth Day, we are reiterating our commitment to doing all we can to help to accelerate the transition to an equitable, prosperous green industry for all.

On Wednesday 11th June, we’re delighted to be working with our Sustainability Committee to hold the third edition of Sustainability Behind the Lens, an open day for our Members, Partners and the wider industry to meet and network with sustainable technology suppliers.

The all-day event will take place at Garden Studios, as experts and industry leaders share innovative approaches, insights, technologies and strategies, igniting hope for a greener future in film and HETV.

PGGB Acting CEO Michael Beavan commented “Our focus should always be for our productions to be ever more sustainable and for PGGB to be a conduit to highlighting new techniques, services and ideas. As we launch our third year of Sustainability Behind The Lens, we are proud to be giving a platform and a space to anyone within the industry that wants to deliver best practice and make film and TV a healthier place to work.”

On the day, a selection of cutting-edge eco-friendly suppliers will demonstrate and discuss new technologies at the forefront of sustainability within the industry, as we move towards the goal of cleaning up our sets, reducing the impact of greenhouse gas emissions, and protecting the health of our crew.

Garden Studios prioritise sustainability, inclusivity, education, innovation, and accessibility. They are still on a journey to reach all of their sustainability goals, but are proud to have achieved B Corp™ certification and a 'Very Good' rating in the 2025 Albert Studio Sustainability Standard, BAFTA’s film studio sustainability certification.
