SAG-AFTRA reached agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and TV Producers (AMPTP) in a unanimous vote.
SAG-AFTRA released a statement celebrating the breakthrough in negotiations on Wednesday evening, saying “we have arrived at a contract that will enable SAG-AFTRA members from every category to build sustainable careers... many thousands of performers now and into the future will benefit from this work”, while chief negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland said the three-year contract would "make a long-term difference for the future of our members in this industry."
The union said the deal was valued at more than $1bn (£814m) and included increases in minimum salaries, a new "streaming participation" bonus, and more protections against their images and voices being replicated by artificial intelligence. The strike will officially end today, with more details on the agreement to be released on Friday.

In a press release last night, AMPTP said "Today’s tentative agreement represents a new paradigm. It gives SAG-AFTRA the biggest contract-on-contract gains in the history of the union."
