In our new releases from PGGB members and partners this week, we're highlighting the sixth instalment of the dramatised series based on the life and reign of HRH Queen Elizabeth II, and the Royal Family as it returns to the small screen for the final time. The era in part one focuses on Prince Charles and Princess Diana's lives post divorce, including the brief romance she shared with Dodi Fayed, leading up to the pair's untimely death. While the latter episodes portray William and Kate first meeting at university where the story of their blossoming love unfolds onscreen in The Crown. Part one debuted yesterday with four episodes on Netflix, followed by the final six episodes arriving on Thursday 14th December. Six PGGB Members and sixteen PGGB Affiliates and Partners worked on this production.
The highly anticipated second series returns with The Lazarus Project back but the need to secure the future more intense than ever as they become locked into a time loop which sees the world end every three weeks. It becomes a literal race against time for the Lazarus team to find a solution before humanity is wiped out forever. In film, a new psychological comedic thriller written, directed and produced by Academy Award winner Emerald Fennell, comes to the big screen today. The story follows an Oxford University Student struggling to fit in before he befriends a charming and aristocratic fellow student who invites him to his eccentric family's estate called Saltburn, for a summer that will never be forgotten. Two of PGGB's Members, along with ten Partners and Affiliates worked on this production.
Based on the dystopian action-adventure novel written by author Suzanne Collins, sees a prequel join becoming the fifth instalment in The Hunger Games film franchise. Set 64 years before the events of the first film, its plot follows the events that eventually lead a young Coriolanus Snow on the path to becoming the tyrannical leader of Panem, including his relationship with Hunger Games tribute Lucy Gray Baird during the year of the 10th Hunger Games. Explore the history of the oppressive society in which the universe is set as The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes releases in cinemas today!
