In our new releases from PGGB members and partners this week we're highlighting a new TV series. Based on the bestselling book of the same name, The Burning Girls tells the story of a mother and daughter duo who arrive in the village of Chapel Croft in search of a fresh start and to escape the past from haunting them. After a tragedy as the Reverend of her previous church and still reeling with guilt over her husband's death, the widower, along with her teen, soon discovers that the village is plagued by a dark, twisted history going back 500 years concerning the premature end of two young girls who were burned at the stake.
Just in time for spooky season, the series creeped onto Paramount+ yesterday! PGGB members who worked on this production include Jo Evans (Head of Production), Sam Fell (Production Manager) and Graeme Mackenzie (Supervising Location Manager).
Also in television, after a body is found in Whitechapel, four detectives work to try and solve the case. In a mind-bending twist, new Netflix drama Bodies follows them investigating the same murder in four different time periods; the 1890s, 1940s, 2010s and a post-apocalyptic 2050. PGGB members Emma Parsons (Co-Producer), Frith Tiplady (Executive Producer) and Marco Calabrese (Cast Agreements) worked on the production.
