Prep starting 11th February 2013 in Liverpool for 7 weeks followed by 8 weeks filming in Liverpool and Sheffield. Shooting 44 days. Scottish playwright Gregory Burke has written the screenplay for ‘71’, which tells the story of a British soldier trying to survive the streets of Belfast at the height of The Troubles when his unit accidentally leaves him behind. It is set in 1971. Prep from early December 2012. Shooting 44 days from end Feb 2013. Budget approx £5m.
