Candice Campos has overseen feature film production in the UK for Lucasfilm for a decade. Her most recent productions include the blockbusters Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, as well as new Disney+ series The Acolyte, due to launch later this year. Before joining Lucasfilm, Candice worked all over the world on productions such as Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World, The Dark Knight, War of the Worlds, and The Dark Knight Rises.
In this session, Candice sits down with PGGB’s Michael Beavan to discuss her invaluable learnings of working across iconic, large-scale productions. As a key driver of The Walt Disney Studios’ British Film Institute Film Academy Future Skills programme, which allows aspiring film makers to learn their craft on set, Candice also speaks about the importance of offering trainee opportunities across productions, and breaking down barriers of entry into the creative industries.
