VFX Producer - Contractor

What we are looking for: As the VFX Producer you will be joining an innovative generative AI startup changing the future of filmmaking. The VFX Producer will report to the Head of Production Services, and collaborate closely with internal team leaders to ensure delivery of complex projects.

We are looking for a forward thinking, and solutions oriented leader. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of projects to global clients. Be required to manage all aspects of this workstream including updating the asset database, work with department leads to manage project timelines, task delegation to the VFX coordinators, work cross-functionally with artistic teams, and the scheduling and leading of client reviews.

This role will be heavily involved with using AI, neural networks, and ML-driven tools to speed up VFX processes.

Excellent time-management skills and experience in managing multiple projects in high volume on a global scale is imperative. You must be able to work effectively and efficiently with our cross-functional teams in both the US and UK locations.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Managing spotting sessions, budgets, turnovers, reviews and feedback.
• Solicit and maintain vendor bids and invoices
• Ensure content is turned over and delivered to clients on time.
• Work in tandem with the Creative Director & VFX Supervisor to ensure quality output, on schedule and within budget.
• Update asset database for accurate project tracking.
• Delegate tasks to VFX coordinators for project efficiency.
• Work with artistic teams to ensure project needs are being met.
• Schedule and lead client reviews, kickoff calls and meetings as needed.
• Keep stakeholders informed of key project insights and proactively address potential issues during project evaluations.
• Adaptability to New Technology: Proactively learning and confident implementing new tools, pipelines and workflows.

Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience as a VFX Producer on high-end film or episodic content.
• Strong experience working with Autodesk Flow.
• Good knowledge of Cinesync, SyncSketch, Frameio, Google Suite, Excel, Word, Jira, Confluence and Miro
• A strong understanding of the VFX pipeline, methodologies, and file formats.
• Knowledge of emerging AI VFX tools is a plus
• Excellent communication skills that ensure an accurate and efficient flow of information.
• Previous experience of planning large projects with artists, producers and clients.
• A flexible and collaborative disposition, able to work with a creative team towards a common goal.
• Highly organised, with strong time management skills.
