Job Description:

Milk is an award-winning, independent visual effects studio based in London and we have ambitious and exciting plans to grow our business.

We are looking for a Studio Assistant to support the day to day operations of our busy VFX facility. As a Studio Assistant, you will support the Studio Manager in creating a positive and welcoming environment for both visitors and staff. 

This is an entry-level position which offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and would suit someone looking to establish a career in studio/facilities management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all studio operations run smoothly, including vendors, facilities, and office supplies/equipment
  • Manage stocks and supplies, arranging orders where necessary; ensuring refreshments, stationery, general office equipment and bathrooms are well stocked
  • Reception duties – including dealing with calls, welcoming clients, providing refreshments for meetings and clients, and booking meeting rooms, cars and couriers
  • Responsible for opening up the studio daily
  • Assisting all employees with queries and helping to resolve any problems
  • Providing support to producers and managers, assisting producers with documents’ presentation where necessary, including adding images to layout, lamination, binding, scanning and photocopying
  • Ensure meeting rooms, reception, kitchens, and communal areas are always clean and tidy
  • Organising Christmas and Summer parties and monthly Town Hall meetings
  • Updating social media sites
  • Take lunch and dinner orders when necessary
  • Taking and distributing minutes of meetings
  • Providing Studio tours for new starters
  • Taking ownership of additional responsibilities as needed
  • Occasional delivery of drives and post

 

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour
  • Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite) and basic knowledge of administrative systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

 

Contract:

Full time, Studio based (Farringdon, London), this role may occasionally require some weekend work.
