This role sits within a high growth multi-genre production company known for producing award winning content, and with continued growth happening in the UK and across the international markets this is a great time to join the team.
 

The position will see you manage the financial lifecycle (from pre-production through to post & close down) of a slate of documentary and factual programmes and the position requires a highly experienced individual with a depth of Production finance experience. You’ll work closely with creative and production teams, ensuring every project runs smoothly from a financial perspective. You will need to have a solid background in non-scripted production accounting, and it would be great if you’d worked on some HETV shows. Due to the nature of this slate, it would be highly beneficial if you have a good working knowledge of Tax Credits.
 

To be a suitable candidate you will be used to working in a fast paced environment, managing multiple stakeholders and often more than one show at any given time. You will have a natural confidence who can intelligently challenge and influence others. You will be great with new systems and always looking to improve processes and procedures to allow the business to be more effective.

Details of the role include:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of documentary & entertainment productions from development through to wrap, ensuring smooth delivery and financial control.
  • Partner with Heads of Production, Production Executives, and Finance leaders to deliver accurate cost reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare and deliver internal and external financial reports, ensuring clarity across revenue, gross profit, and balance sheet positions.
  • Oversee month end reconciliations, cashflow and credit control, ensuring timely invoicing, debt collection, and multi-currency cashflow management
  • Lead cost management processes — develop system expertise, train production teams, and ensure accurate financial tracking, reporting, and month-end reconciliations.
  • Apply AVEC tax credit regulations across qualifying projects and maintain compliance with HMRC, VAT, IR35, and payroll legislation.

 

To be a suitable candidate you will need to possess the following:

  • A solid track record in TV production accounting, is essential, and an understanding of the industry Guidelines;
  • Exposure to non-scripted HETV would be beneficial 
  • Experience of tax credits would be beneficial
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Team player;
  • Adept with learning new systems and constantly seeking to improve things to be more effective for business needs
  • Consistently striving to improve processes and efficiencies through initiative, problem solving and resourcefulness;
