Locations Trainee

An upcoming HETV Drama Production Company based in South Wales is looking for a Locations Trainee who can hit the ground running with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

We would particularly welcome applications from those from underrepresented backgrounds.

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following in their applications:

• Have great enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.
• Communication: able to take direction from the location manager and let other members of the team know what’s happening, talk to extras and everyone from the owners of a stately home to the general public wanting to know what’s filming.
• Reliability: it is extremely important that you arrive on time and do what’s asked.
• Help with cordoning off areas with location marshals or security guards, litter picketing, traffic marshals and messengers.
• Help guide the crew to where to park on location, help with paperwork and setting up of green rooms, tents and areas for holding supporting artists.
• Assist the locations department with general location management and community engagement during prep and shoot.

Requirements:

Applicants must be Welsh-based to be considered for this role

Driver’s License required, but ownership of own car is not necessary.

Working hours will relate to the filming schedule and it is likely that the successful candidate will be expected to work long, unsociable hours, which may include weekends, inside and outside, in all weather conditions, as required.
