Key Responsibilities: To editorially support projects across TV and Film that are in development and production. To identify and develop new ideas, projects and talent relationships. To help facilitate the smooth running of the development department.
Editorial:
- Attending and contributing to script meetings with writers.
- Generating notes to support on House projects.
- Bringing in ideas and developing those projects with the team.
- Suggesting writers and directors for new and existing House projects.
- Reading submissions alongside the team and discussing promising material.
- Internal book and podcast coverage.
- Carrying out research in support of existing projects and new ideas.
- Various administrative jobs including, but not limited to, creating agendas, updating internal documents, and taking notes in meetings.
Key Requirements:
- To be successful in this role, you must have a passion for drama, television, film, theatre and podcasts.
- You will need to have a strong knowledge and experience in film and television output and development.
- You must have excellent editorial judgement and a track record of identifying great new ideas and new talent.
- You will have experience in supporting projects with in-depth research.
- You will have experience working with writers, providing notes and editorially supporting ideas in development and/or production. Script Editing experience is preferable.
- You will have the ability to interpret editorial intentions and be able to contribute to the generation of ideas and the resolution of script problems.
- You must have experience in script reading and writing script reports with an ability to demonstrate sound editorial judgement and sensitivity, both verbally and on paper.
- You will have knowledge of established and emerging writers and directors.
- You will have knowledge of key agents.
- You will also have excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills.
