2023 marked 11 years of The Film Physios delivering crew and cast physiotherapy, osteopathy, on-set massage and health and wellbeing services to film and television productions in the UK.
The Film Physios continue to support the ever growing film and television community by providing any crew and cast with the opportunity of same day accessibility to health and wellbeing and face to face appointments with registered Allied Healthcare Practitioners such physiotherapists and osteopaths; all without crew or cast having to leave their studio or location or take extended time away from production.
The Film Physios team are mobile and can visit the crew or cast at their studio, location or residence, providing a private treatment service as part of the 'Heals on Wheels' initiative. Appointments are same day and can be delivered on an individual appointment basis or as half dailies/ dailies for multiple crew members.
In addition The Film Physios support the production office by providing workstation assessments, office based physiotherapy, osteopathy and chair massage as part of ‘Back in the Office’ program. A service that has been utilised by the production offices of Marvel, Lucasfilm, Bad Robot, The BBC and Netflix.
The Film Physios also operate a full-time on-site clinic at Pinewood Studios that supports the crew and productions filming on the lot and outside of the studios. 2024 will see the on-site clinic network expand threefold across other studios.
The Film Physios have extensive experience of working alongside production medical teams, seamlessly integrating our additional provisions of regular musculoskeletal check-ups, musculoskeletal screening and injury rehabilitation, the organisation of orthopaedic screenings through practitioner referral, crew health education and advice; readily available to all crew and cast.
Treatment is funded privately by the crew member, their private health insurance or by production. We work with all major insurance companies. Our credits to date can be seen here.
Our goal is simple and straightforward: to provide crew with accessibility to quality healthcare in the most demanding of industries, on-set, on location, on call and at our on the lot clinics.
